Luke 4:1-12
“Jesus was tempted because God wanted us to understand that Christ had not come to earth as Israel’s Conquering King but as her Suffering Servant” ~Asil Treblig
God showed us through Christ’s temptation who we are in him…
1. Our Temptation: I am what I do.
Our Response: I am a child of God.
“We live by the full and complete counsel of God.”
2. Our Temptation: I am what I have.
Our response: I am a child of God.
“We live in covenant with God who owns everything.”
3. Our Temptation: I am what others think.
Our response: I am a child of God.
“We love a God who couldn’t be more proud of us.”
