Sermon Notes

Joshua 3

“. . . it is presumptuous in me to wish to choose my path, because I cannot tell which path is best for me. I must leave it to the Lord, Who knows me, to lead me by the path which is best for me, so that in all things His will may be done.” ~Theresa of Avila

To take the next step in trust and assurance, we must…

  1. Pay attention

  2. Consecrate ourselves

  3. Remember

  4. Get going

Joshua 2:1-14

“God does not consult your past to determine your future” ~Asil Treblig

We can step out in obedience and faith when we realize…

  1. God desires to use us and grow us up in our faith.

· On His terms, in His plan, for His glory.

  1. Obedience is born from faith, then shown in our circumstances.

· We step out into who God is, what He has done and His certain promises of the future.

  1. There are no walls too high for God’s grace.

· God does not consult your past to determine your future.

  1. Saving faith means obedience, and that means choosing sides.

· There is no neutral ground in the Kingdom of God.
