Read Luke 6:46; Matthew 7:21-29

“To move your mouth is tons easier than moving your body.” Asil Treblig

To insure against hypocrisy and to make sure Jesus doesn’t ask you, “Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord' and do not do what I say?” …

  1. Build your life on the right confession.

  2. Build your life… get to work.

  3. Build with the right materials.

  4. Build according to the code.

  5. Build to pass inspections.

Confession

Jesus, I confess I am a hypocrite at times. My actions don’t always match my confession. I call you Lord, Lord and I never want you to question that based on my actions. I desire a life of genuine faith and not selfish hypocrisy. Help me to follow you always, in the good times and the bad, in the chaos and calm. Knowing that you are always working in my life for my good and for your glory. Amen?

Matthew 8:23-27

“No half-heartedness and no worldly fear must turn us aside from following the light unflinchingly” ~J.R.R. Tolkien

· What storm are you going through?

· Who are you calling?

· How is your faith?

· Where are you being called?

Confession

Father, I confess that when the storms of life come, I am afraid. Please forgive my weakness when I trust in myself over you. Jesus, I want to trust in you first. Help me to see that fear and death have been defeated by you through your life, death, and resurrection. Spirit by faith I trust that you will give me boldness to proclaim the gospel and face any storm.
