1 Thessalonians 4:9,10

  1. Brotherly love comes naturally.

· Through familial ties

· Through other forms of connectedness


  1. Agape love is taught by God.

· It is modeled for us

· It is gifted to us


  1. Agape love is… (1 Corinthians 13:1-13)

· Behind all that we do

· Patient – It takes it all

· Kind – It gives it all

· Not envious – It rejoices in what others have

· Not boastful – It doesn’t seek to make others jealous

· Not proud – It doesn’t selfishly boast

· Not rude – It doesn’t act unbecoming

· Not self-seeking – It doesn’t need to have its way

· Not easily angered – It doesn’t get easily provoked

· Not accounting – It doesn’t keep track of wrongs

· Not happy over evil – but rejoices in the truth

· Protecting – It covers faults quickly

· Trusting – It believes in the best for others

· Hopeful – it doesn’t lose hope, but expects the best

· Persevering – It never gives up
