Teaching What is Good

Titus 2:1-10

“Those who teach by their doctrine must teach by their life, or else they pull down with one hand what they build up with the other.” ~Matthew Henry

Good: Agathos – What is in accord with and promotes godly character.

Good: Kalos – Moral beauty. The outward appearance of the goodness God does inside of us that works its way out and inspires others.

As part of living the good life, we much teach what is good...

1. To the older men...

2. To the older women and younger women...

3. And to the younger men...

4. So that, in all situations...

5. God's word is honored and our Savior is glorified.

Standing for What is Good

Titus 1:10-16

Good:

• Kalos – Moral beauty. The outward appearance of the goodness God does inside of us that works its way out and inspires others.

Enemies of the Gospel, or false teachers, have always been around and we must:

1. Be prepared to stand for the truth.

2. Know our enemy who stands against us.

3. Know who they are.

   1. Stand against what they are doing.
