Read Hebrews 2:5-18

Christ Jesus took the form of human likeness so He could…


1. Restore our lost dominion. (5-9)

  • The fall lost it.

  • The cross regained it.

2. Restore us to a position of glory. (10-13)

  • Through His suffering we are complete.

  • Through His humanity we are family.

3. Destroy Satan and death. (14-16)

  • Set us free from death.

  • Set us free to live.

4. Become our sympathetic High Priest. (17,18)

  • His humanity makes him compassionate.

  • He knows our temptations and suffering.

  1. Who is your favorite person in the whole world? Why?

  2. Read Philippians 2:1-11. According to verses 1-4 what can we gain by being united with Christ?

  3. Write down all the things Christ did when He took on human likeness. What did God do for Jesus?

  4. In what way is it easier for you to associate and be in Christ because of His humanity?

  5. I what specific ways can we imitate Christ’s humility?
