It is not primarily out of compassion for humanity that we share our faith or pray for the lost; it is first of all, love for God. ~John Piper

Why Invite?

1. We are loved by God.

-Worldly Love vs. God's Love

-God loved us before we were born.

-God loves us when we are unlovable.

-God continues to demonstrate His love.

2. We love God.

-We love because He first loved us.

-By dying to our old nature and living for Him.

-By loving His children.

-By following His commands.

Read Matthew 28:1-10

“Christianity begins where all other religions end… with the resurrection" ~.C.S.Lewis

The tomb was EMPTY, but it was…

· The Bible is true.

2. Full of Promise. (Ephesians 2:4-9)

· We are showered with grace.

· We are Heaven bound.

3. Full of Power. (Acts 1:1-8)

· To live the Life.

· To fulfill our purpose.

4. Full of Purpose. (2Corinthians 5:14-21)

· Know Jesus.

· Make Jesus known.

GOING DEEPER
  1. Remember a time in your life when you felt alone or empty. What was it like?

  2. What do you think the disciples felt like between Jesus’ crucifixion and the resurrection? Put yourself in their sandals.

  3. Read John 20:24-31. What do these verses say about Jesus’ resurrected body, doubt, and blessings?

  4. Read John 21:1-14. What insight can we gain about fishing for men in these verses?

  5. Has the resurrected Christ filled you with hope, love, and power? If not, surrender your life to him now. If so, let’s show the world we are filled with Jesus!
