Galatians 5:13-15

"In Christ, in the Kingdom, we are a slave to one and a servant to all.” ~Asil Treblig

In Christ, in the Kingdom…

1. We are called to be free.

· Free from the eternal consequence of sin.

· Free from our performance and work.

2. But freedom still has boundaries.

· We are not free to indulge our flesh.

· True freedom is walking in the Spirit.

3. We are bound to the One.

· We are bond servants to our King.

· We are bound to be like Him.

4. We are bound to others.

· We filter our freedom through others.

GOING DEEPER
  1. Remember a time when you felt you were a prisoner to something but were set free. Explain.

  2. In what ways do you feel you are a prisoner to sin or of this world?

  3. Read Romans 8:2,3. What do these verses tell us about freedom?

  4. Read 1 Peter 2:16. What further insight can we gain about freedom from this verse?

  5. In what area do you still struggle being a slave to sin? In what area do you need to be a slave to God?
