Jesus Is Greater: So Be Steadfast In Him - 2

Read Hebrews 13:17-25

“There is no division between doctrine and duty, revelation and responsibility. The two always go together" ~Asil Treblig

We can be steadfast in Christ by….

1. Trusting in our leaders. (v.17)

  • They are called to oversee.

  • They are accountable for overseeing.

  • They are to oversee joyfully.

2. Praying for our leaders. (vv.18,19)

  • Protection, direction, correction,

  • and devotion.

3. Receiving from our leaders. (vv.21-25)

  • A blessing from the Great Shepherd.

  • An equipping to do His will.

  • An exhortation to live out.

GOING DEEPER
  1. Remember a time when you gave up on something. Explain. How did you feel about giving up?

  2. Read Romans 5:1-5. Where do we stand with God and how?

  3. According to the above verses what should we do in our sufferings and what does suffering produce?

  4. Read James 1:2-4. Why is steadfastness or perseverance so important?

  5. In what area can you be more steadfast in your faith. Make a plan this week and live it out!
