The Promise of a New People

Genesis 12:1-5, Ephesians 2:11-22, Hebrews 8:11-13, and 1 Peter 2:9-12

God said in the journey of Abraham leaving that He would:

1. Make him a great nation.

2. Make his name great and be a blessing.

3. Bless those who bless him and curse who curses him.

4. Bless all the peoples on the earth through him.

To become a new people, we have to leave:

5. Our country.

6. Our family.

7. Our father’s household.

8. Make Jesus number one.

The Promise of a New Covenant

Hebrews 8:8-12

1. In God's new covenant He sets up the terms.

2. In God's new covenant blood was shed. 

3. In God's new covenant Jesus fulfills the terms.

4. God's new covenant is established in believers. 

5. God's new covenant is complete.
