Why equip?
 
 1. God is on a mission. (Romans 10:9; 2 Peter 3:9)
 
 2. God has chosen us to join Him on mission. (John 15:16; Ephesians 1:4)
 · Every person has a specific role.
 · Every person has specific gifts.
 
 3. God equips us for the mission. (Ephesians 4:7-12)
 · Through the Holy Spirit
 · Through other people
 
 4. God equips us for a purpose. (Ephesians 4:12-16)
 · So the Body of Christ may be built up.
 · So we can become like Christ.
 -So we will not be fooled.
 -So we are able to speak the truth in love.
